University life isn’t just about studying 24 hours a day.

It’s a great time to start a new hobby, meet people who like the same stuff as you and generally become an all-round fantastic human being.

With over 150 societies, 60 sports clubs and a newspaper, magazine, radio station and online TV station all run by students, there really is something for everyone in Cardiff. Don’t waste your time in University staring at daytime TV and drinking tea, get involved – you won’t regret it!

There are two ways you can join up to clubs and societies at Cardiff University

If you already know that you want to play football, become an avid member of the Harry Potter Society or write for the student newspaper, you can join online now.

Join at Freshers Fayres

Alternatively, as this is all a bit new and you may not have made your mind up about which club or society you want to join, head along to these freshers fayres to meet the students who run them. There will be different societies at each fayre so it’s well worth coming along for both days so you don’t miss out!
