Jobshop

A priority for many students on arriving at University these days is finding a part-time job to help make their student loans last longer. This can be difficult in a strange city where everything is unfamiliar and the high street employment agencies are not particularly student-friendly. The Jobshop is a great free service for students making it as easy as possible to find part-time or temporary work to fit in with their studies.
The Jobshop operates both as an introductory service to local employers as well as providing part-time and temporary jobs within the University and the Students’ Union. So if you are looking for a regular part-time job or just want a few hours work now and then, there should be something to suit you.

All our jobs pay at least the adult National Minimum Wage of £5.73 per hour regardless of age (rising to £5.80 per hour on 1 October, 2009).
Vacancies are advertised on the boards at the Jobshop as well as on the Students’ Union website (www.cardiffstudents.com). We also email details of new vacancies to registered students as we receive them.

If you would like to register with the Jobshop, please come and see us in on the ground floor of the Students’ Union building between 10am-4pm Monday-Friday bringing your NUS card and passport.
