When You Arrive in Cardiff

You’ve arrived in Cardiff, said goodbye to your parents and already abandoned the idea of unpacking. It’s time to get to know your new home, meet some amazing new friends and find out what we can do to help you here at your Students’ Union.

University Life

The next few years are going to be some of the best of your life and there’s a lot to pack into a short amount of time.

You’re now a fully fledged member of the Students’ Union. You can have your say on what we do at Student Council or by voting in the elections.

We know it can all seem a bit overwhelming. We run our own independent advice service so you’ll be well looked after.

We’ve also got our own letting agency to help you find a house when you move out of Halls of Residence.

We’ve also got courses and training to make your CV stand out when you graduate.

Or you could become a volunteer and help in one of over 35 different local projects

Uni life isn’t just about studying 24 hours a day. Clubs and Societies are a great way to meet like-minded people or start a new hobby.
And if you just want to have some fun, we’ve got the best entertainment in the city!

After Graduation

Graduation probably feels like light years into the future at the moment, but it’s never too soon to think about life after University.

The job market is a pretty competitive place these days.

University is a great time to boost your CV with courses, skills and volunteering work.

Lots of students enjoy their time in Cardiff so much that they decide to stay after University.
